The Northeast Fisheries Science Center will hold a May 20, 2019 Assessment Oversight Panel meeting for monkfish, scup, bluefish, and black sea bass on May 20, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at its facility in Woods Hole, MA.

The meeting marks the beginning of the 2019 Fisheries Stock Assessments process. Other sets of assessments also will be conducted this year. During these assessments, scientists will use existing models and data sources to evaluate stock health. Data will come from a variety of sources, including commercial and recreational fishermen, fish dealers, fishery observers, and research surveys. The assessments will be peer reviewed.
