IMPORTANT: Barring severe weather or changes in outdoor gathering restrictions issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Council will hold an in-person public hearing on Groundfish Monitoring Amendment 23 under a large tent on the grounds of the Sheraton Four Points in Wakefield, MA.
Current Massachusetts COVID-19 guidelines restrict outdoor public gatherings to 50 people. The Council will need to limit the number of people under the tent to 50. This includes staff and the Council member who will be running the hearing. As such, an accurate headcount is critical.
- The Council extended the registration period to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. The registration period is now closed.
- Others who are not intending to speak in person but still want to listen to the conversation may join the webinar.
- Additional details and public safety precautions are outlined in the press release. Masks will be required.
Please continue to monitor this webpage for updates. Severe weather, revised public gathering restrictions by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or other factors as determined by the Executive Director and Council Chair may force the Council to hold this hearing by webinar.
